Zwergwege was home of the Dwarves to the east of Spielburg (Hero-U).
Background[]
It was the original homeland of Wolfgang Abenteuer before he moved to Spielburg Valley, and it lies pretty close to Spielburg. The dwarves there once mined in the tin mines there. There was once successful business between Spielburg and Zwergwege. However, the dwarven tin mining industry, had dried up many years ago. Impacting the trade to Spielburg. Most dwarves were not adventurers, so wandered off after the business stopped. But Wolfgang chose to remain behind and move to Spielburg.
Behind the scenes[]
This was a region which was mentioned in very early drafts of How To Be A Hero, and it is therefore unknown if it made it into the later drafts of the story.
This appears to be a nod to the Switzerland Adventure Dwarf Trails in Muggestatz, Switzerland, the Zwergenwege. However, the Zwergenwege and Zurich are not in the same place, and its possible their similar 'sounding' name and usage could just be a coincidence. According to Corey Cole, while he does not personally remember the concept material, if Wolfgang is human or dwarf it doesn't really have any affect on QFG1's story (and he is not brought up in Hero-U). In Switzerland at least part of the tin mining apparently occured in the "Ore Mountains".
