EOF "The Guts, The Glory, The Greatest!" is an organization for Fighters. One can become a member only by invitation, and is thus entitled to an unused EOF Secret Membership Badge. There is a chapter in Shapeir.
After the Fighter defeats the Earth Elemental, Uhura starts giving him mysterious threatening crumpled notes:
- Day 13: "If you know what's good for you, you will obey orders. We will leave them here. If you don't follow them, you'll be sorry. We are watching you."
- Day 14: "Tomorrow night is your last night. You'll get your final orders then. Be seeing you."
- Day 15: "At nightfall tonight, go to the door at the end of 'Saif Darb' off 'Askeri Darb'. Obey, or you'll regret it".
The Hero was ambushed and found himself chained on the wall. He had 10 seconds to break the chain (no matter the amount of strength or agility) before Walid attacked him in order to fight. He reclaimed his weapons, and after defeating Walid he was ordered to kill him; the sword however was a fake replica and wouldn't harm Walid anyway.
There are at least two ranks: one who passes the trial flawlessly becomes a "Brother Scorpion", otherwise a lower rank is "Brother Saurus". The secret password is "Might is Right". Members have a token, a genuine imitation brass Secret Membership Badge with its secret code and runic engraving; so secret that nobody knows what it means, although it is name, rank and serial number. Membership fee costs 5 dinars.

Behind the scenes[]
- It's possible that the acronym EOF is a computer programmer in-joke, referring to the computing term for an end-of-file condition.
- Becoming an EOF member is the Fighter's class-specific subquest in Trial by Fire, analogous to WIT membership for the Wizard and breaking into houses for the Thief; however, although the other classes gain something from their specific quests (the Wizard learns a new spell while the Thief gains money), membership to EOF doesn't benefit the Fighter, nor affects anyhow the plot or the gameplay, nor the Badge is used anywhere, other than giving Puzzle Points and Paladin Points.
- The Fighter has the option to obey the orders and execute Walid; as his sword is fake, Walid isn't harmed anyway, and the Hero will be granted the title of "Brother Scorpion" for passing all tests. The Fighter who wants to be a Paladin has to refuse executing Walid, so "Brother Saurus" is the only option.
- According to the trivia file hidden in the Quest for Glory Anthology, the messages appear "usually" on days 13-14-15, indicating that the dates may vary.
- Actually the directions of the final note are inaccurate: the door is at the end of Askeri Darb.
- Although after the cutscene, the narration states that the Hero gives 5 dinars for membership, in reality it'll be less if the hero has less and the Hero will still wake up as a member.
- While not all of its membership requirements are known, all known members appear to be men (several of which appear to be chauvinistic and sexist). Many seem to have dude-bro personalities which may indicate it’s a male-only club.
