It is ruled by King Graham. His daughter Princess Rosella lives there. Even Genesta lives in a country not too far in relation to the kingdom.

Daventrees are apparently a species native to Daventry but grow throughout Gloriana seen as far as Spielburg.

Behind the scenes

Daventry is referenced in the games via a pun when looking at trees in which the narrator makes reference to "Daventree". Though the spelling Daventry is not specifically given in the series.

Daventry is in another world accessible through the magical rifts that sometimes open up and connect worlds together through the World between worlds.This apparently explains the knowledge of King Graham Cracker, Rosella, and Daventry by individuals throughout the world, as well as certain artifacts that have made it into the universe.

In KQ universe the place between the worlds is a strange, misty place of ancient magic between the worlds of the multiverse. It consists of a multicolored whirlpool or whirlwind (largely shades of white, orange, pink, violet, purple, and tapering off into dark spot at the bottom) that sucks people or things from one world into another. It allows travel between Daventry and the alternate universe of Eldritch and Etheria (a fairieland similar to Corianne).

In King's Quest universe Daventry is either in Earth's past, or another parallel world similar to Gloriana. Similarly in Laura Bow and Hoyle I its in Earth's past. Space Quest its implied to be another planet "Daventry VII" or even another dimension "The Daventry Zone". Strangely in Police Quest it's contemporary in the news.
