The Crypt Wraith being revealed
Crypt Wraiths are Wraiths who guard or are tied to crypts and cemeteries. This specific one, in the fan version only, can optionally be encountered by meddling with the left bottom sarcophagus.
Like the also optional Ligeia's Ghost, there's no Wraith Mound and thus no items to gain. But unlike Ligeia's Ghost, once encountered it is unescapble and made to be as powerful as Master Wraith, and thus for his trouble the hero gets 6 Puzzle Points as well as 20 Weapon Use points.
Behind the scenes[]
The Crypt Wraith is a cut encounter from Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness. It was later implemented in the Enhanced Edition Patch.
It joins the Castle Wraith as the only Wraiths in the game that appear even at day time, and joins Ligeia's Ghost as the only Wraiths in the game that lack Wraith Mounds and thus provide no items upon defeat.
