Metalworkershouse

The house of Metal Worker Abu bin Ma'amar; it is located at Zrir Darb, off Rani Tarik in Shapeir. It stands out from the other doors of the city as a unique blue torch illuminates the alley just above his door.

HE shares the house with his four sons, Kamar, Kareem, Abdul and Jabbar.

A fabled silverware tea service, entitled to Kareem was in the house, coveted by Dinarzad; she had arranged a special night when most of the sons would be absent, for the Thief to go and fetch it for her.

It is a modestly appointed house whose front room is sparsely furnished. There is a closet with rusty hinges, a shelf rack with a teapot and worthless pots, and two rugs. A draped doorway apparently led to the bedchambers. Some of the floorboards squeak.

Except from the teapot (worth 20 dinars) the thief also found an emerald bowl in a closet (worth 40 dinars). Under the large carpet there is a trapdoor where Abu kept a chest (it needs 70 Pick Locks or more to open) containing 60 dinars and under a false bottom, a silver dagger entitled to Jabbar (worth 30 dinars).

Behind the scenes[]

The closet makes noise whenever the Thief opens and closes it, unless he oils the hinges. The noise doesn't alert the residents, however oiling grants more points.

The bowl can be found only if the player types search closet; the dagger is found only after search chest.

If the Thief is hybrid and casts some spell like Flame Dart or Force Bolt against the cupboard or the drapes, the noise will alert the residents.
